Wide Horizons invited audiences to reflect on the relationship between the natural world and the enduring presence of humanity. Through expansive landscapes punctuated by figures and built structures, the exhibition considered our place within the environment and the lasting traces we leave upon it.

Bringing together the work of local artists Amanda Hocking and Creagh Manning, Wide Horizons offered two distinct yet complementary perspectives on landscape, memory and connection to place.

Amanda Hocking, a mixed media artist from Kialla, presented works that combined collage, natural pigments and found organic materials, drawing on the textures and stories embedded within the landscape itself.

Shepparton-based artist Creagh Manning, whose painting practice spans more than five decades, exhibited a selection of landscape and figurative works that reflected his deep and enduring engagement with the region and its people.

The exhibition provided visitors with an opportunity to slow down, contemplate the landscapes that surround us, and consider the complex relationship between people and place through the eyes of two accomplished local artists.
