Our volunteers are the heart of the Festival - helping us bring art, music, performance, and community celebration to life across Greater Shepparton.

This page provides everything you need to get started, understand our expectations, and ensure we’re creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone.

Your Commitment as a Volunteer

As a Shepparton Arts Festival volunteer, you agree to:

  • Uphold the Festival’s values of respect, inclusion, and creativity

  • Follow reasonable directions from staff, coordinators, or event leads

  • Work safely and report any hazards or incidents promptly

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of artists, staff, and audiences

  • Treat everyone with kindness and cultural awareness, including First Peoples, people with disability, and people from diverse backgrounds

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct, Child Safety Policy, and Protection of Vulnerable Individuals Policy

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

All volunteers are required to hold a valid Working With Children Check. If you do not yet have one, please apply online (it’s free for volunteers):

Volunteer Agreement 

The position of Shepparton Festival Volunteer at Shepparton Festival is a volunteer position. You are not an employee or contractor of Shepparton Festival and you will perform all duties on a voluntary basis without remuneration. You will not receive remuneration or payment for your work.  

This is not intended to be a legally binding agreement.
