Inspired by one of Australia's most elusive native animals, this outdoor linocut printmaking workshop invited participants to explore the quiet mystery of the platypus through creativity and connection with nature.

Led by artist Kat Parker, the hands-on workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of linocut printmaking, including tool safety, carving techniques and creative mark-making. Set against the natural landscape, the experience encouraged participants to slow down, observe their surroundings and create their own unique prints to take home.

The workshop was proudly supported by RiverConnect, whose commitment to celebrating and caring for the natural environment provided the perfect partnership for an event inspired by one of the Goulburn River's most iconic inhabitants. Together, the workshop highlighted the connection between art, nature and community, leaving participants with both new creative skills and a deeper appreciation for the local environment.
