PLATYPUS

PRINTMAKING

Be inspired by one of Australia’s most elusive and enchanting creatures—the platypus—in this outdoor linocut printmaking workshop.

Set in a peaceful natural setting along the Broken River, each participant will receive a 15x15cm lino tile with a platypus outline ready to carve.

Guided by Kat Parker and supported by RiverConnect, you’ll learn the basics of linocutting, tool safety, and creative mark-making. With one-on-one support, you’ll carve and hand-print your design using vibrant inks and paper. Surrounded by nature, you’ll connect with the platypus’s quiet mystery while creating your own unique print to take home.

Please note this workshop has very limited places and has been funded by RiverConnect through the Platy Patch project, a four-year statewide initiative jointly funded by the Australian Government, Victorian Government and Melbourne Water. If you book, we kindly ask that you commit to attending.
