OURS FOR THE MAKING
Ours for the Making invited audiences into an evolving, immersive installation that unfolded through performance, participation and collective making. Created by Victoria Cooper, Doug Spowart, Tegan Nash Ollett and Bree Marchbank, the work explored our interconnectedness with each other, with place and with the natural cycles of time.
Featuring hundreds of handmade clay leaves, alongside sound, projection and live performance, the installation acknowledged place as a living presence, evoking the rhythms of growth, decay and renewal. As the work evolved throughout the Festival, visitors became active participants, contributing to an experience that was continually shaped by community engagement.
Blurring the boundaries between installation, performance and participatory art, Ours for the Making offered a contemplative and deeply collaborative experience, encouraging audiences to reflect on their relationship with the environment and the shared responsibility of caring for the places we inhabit.
