‘Puppet Play’: Design and make your own puppet

In this hands on work shop for children over the age of six (accompanied by an adult), first time young puppeteers will be guided and supported through the experience of designing and creating their own simple marionette puppet character suspended on wire and strings, and made from thick card, plastic and paint materials. STORIES THROUGH CLAY

Facilitated by Splinter Contemporary Artists during the Converge on the Goulburn event, participants will be invited to create a small sculpture. Splinter Contemporary Artists will facilitate a community art opportunity during the Converge on the Goulburn event. Using a large sculptural bowl form, participants will be invited to weave a length of material (i.e. fabric, yarn, etc.) into the bowl, representing through line and colour, time and effort, the unique story they bring to the Goulburn Valley.
