EAT YOUR WORDS

March 16 - March 17

Free – $75

Over three tasty sessions, you will be provided with all the ingredients required to make your own narrative feast. The culmination will be a short performance showcasing what you have ‘cooked up.’ Designed for those who wish to begin writing but don’t know how to start, those who have  fabulous idea but are not sure what to do with it and for those who are interested in what make writing delicious.

Location for all workshops: La Trobe University, 210 Fryers St, Shepparton

Location for performance: GV Hotel

Workshop 1 – Ingredients (pen, paper, imagination etc.)

Date: Saturday 16 March 2019

Time: 10am – 12.30pm

Cost: $30 (concession/alumni/student $20)

Workshop 2 – Combine, Stir & Pour (start with an image/incident/memory/secret, then mix, fold or pour, and turn up the heat)

Date: Saturday 16 March 2019

Time: 1.30pm – 4pm

Cost: $30 (concession alumni/student $20)

Workshop 3 – Cooking it up (edit, re-read, tweak and polish, leave it to rise and pop your story- bowl into the oven)

Date: Sunday 17 March 2019

Time: 10am – 12.30pm

Cost: $30 (concession alumni/student $20)

Performance at GV Hotel

The table is set, the story-bowl is ready and it’s time to share in the feasting.

Time: 1.30pm – 4pm

Cost: Free event

Two-day booking: attend all three workshops $75 (concession alumni/student $50)

Lunch is provided each day from 12.30pm – 1.30pm
